Rain, Rain, Go Away =(
The weather here is absolutely crazy. One day it's hot and sunny, the next day it's completely overcast with a little bit of thunder then it's a full-out hurricane. Sheesh! I definitely didn't think fall would start out like this. Oh well, I guess as long as the cold stays away I should be happy since I utterly despise it! lol
The gloomy weather doesn't seem to be stopping people from going to class however. I've never seen so many people on campus before since I've been here. But maybe it just seems that way since now my friends and I are the oldest people here and I don't recognize any of the new students. Hmm, not sure. Either way, It's kind of refreshing to see all of the new faces.
In other news, I submitted my first graduate school application last night!! YAY! It was for LSU's community counseling program. Which I'm intensely falling in love with more and more everyday. I'm not sure about living in Baton Rouge though, never seemed like a place that would be fun to live in for a long period of time. But I guess I would only be there for a year, so maybe my thoughts would change. My next venture is UCSB's application (another one of my faves) and then FSU's, Columbia's, and Loyola's. Now that the first one is done, it's a lot less stressful and I think I'm more organized with the entire process now.
I began my official countdown on Monday, which was the 2 months until graduation mark. My mom and I ordered my announcements over the phone last night, which was a struggle...dropped phone calls, dead batteries, trying to pick just the right words for it. Yikes, lol! But we got through it. I'm definitely starting to get excited, can't believe how fast this semester is going by!
But I guess that's all for this week. I'm siting in the lab for my DIS right now. I only had one participant at 9AM so far and no one else seems to be signing up. :-/ Sooooo, I guess I'll do the readings that I was supposed to do last night instead of watching the "The Game" marathon that they decided to air starting around 12:30 this morning. That show is so addicting...but so great! =) K, time to go do what college seniors do...whatever that is!
Until Later =)
