Certification of Financial Responsibility

Florida State University is required by U.S. federal regulations to verify the financial resources of each applicant prior to issuing the Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20 or DS-2019). Please complete the Certification of Financial Responsibility Form (Undergraduate, Graduate) and submit it along with verification of support (bank statements, award letters, scholarships, etc.). You must show proof of financial support for the first year of study and demonstrate availability of funds for the length of your academic program.

There are no grants, loans, or scholarships awarded to international undergraduate students. Graduate students may apply to their respective departments for assistantships or fellowships, although funds are extremely limited. For further information, please contact your academic department directly.

These figures are estimated costs and are subject to increase without notice. Annual increases in tuition and fees are anticipated; therefore, it is suggested that an additional 10% be added to these totals to prepare for possible increases. You must include an additional $5,000 per year for your spouse and $3,000 per year for each child if they will be accompanying you to the United States.
