Students admitted to the CARE Summer Bridge Program are required to live on campus for the summer term. CARE will cover the cost of summer housing, but if a student pays the summer contract fee, Housing will NOT refund the money. The summer housing contract is due by March 31, 2021. To complete a housing contract, go to the myHousing portal at housing.fsu.edu/myhousing.
NOTE: If you plan to live on campus for both the summer and fall/spring terms, you must complete two separate housing contracts: one for summer term and one for the Fall/Spring terms. The Fall/Spring contract fee for CARE Summer Bridge Students is $50.00.
Next, submit your CARE Participation Agreement by May 1, 2021 to secure your place in the FSU Class of 2025. Submit this form by logging in to your Application Status Check at admissions.fsu.edu/statuscheck.
CARE students all attend the same Orientation session. Orientation usually takes place one week before classes begin. CARE students do not register for Orientation. Once they complete the CARE Participation Agreement, the CARE Office will register them for the CARE Orientation. The Orientation fee is built into CARE attendance costs. Although a bill will appear on your account statement, Orientation will be automatically paid close to move-in day.
Before you can register for classes at orientation, you must complete our immunization form showing proof of two combined MMR vaccines and either showing proof of or completing a waiver for Hepatitis B and Meningococcal Meningitis vaccines. For information regarding our immunization requirement and to access the immunization form, visit studentinsurance.fsu.edu.
FSU requires all students to show proof of comparable health insurance coverage or to enroll in a university-sponsored health plan before registering for classes at orientation. For information on how to provide proof of health insurance coverage or information on FSU's health insurance plan, visit studentinsurance.fsu.edu.
While you are not required to purchase a meal plan, we recommend doing so. Visit Seminole Dining for information on the many dining options available to you throughout campus.
Florida State University invites all incoming students to complete two educational programs focused on serious issues facing students to help ensure a healthy and positive college experience. EverFi provides alcohol use and interpersonal violence (sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment) education.
Part 1 of AlcoholEdu and Part 1 of Sexual Assault Prevention are required. If this requirement is not completed, you will received a hold on your account.
For deadlines, registration information, and frequently asked questions visit AlcoholEdu & Sexual Assault Prevention.
All students who wish to claim Florida residency for tuition purposes must complete the residency declaration form before attending orientation. If you haven't completed your form already, visit Application Status Check to complete this task.
We will re-evaluate your application after we receive all of your official records. Discrepancies between official and self-reported grades and test scores can result in admission recension. If any of your senior-year grades are below a C, or your cumulative college GPA is not at least a 2.0 (for those who took college credits in high school), we may rescind your admission. For detailed information admission conditions, please see Enrollment Information found on your Application Status Check.
Update your Self-Reported Student Academic Record (SSAR) with your final, senior-year grades by logging in to the SSAR website. Submit the updates by clicking the Complete button at the bottom of the Review/Submit section. If you do not re-lock your SSAR, FSU will not receive your updated information.
