Hello everyone. My name is Vannah Clayton, program manager of scholarships with the office of admissions at Florida State University. Today we're going to talk a little bit about your admissions portal and how to check the overall status of your application. Keep in mind that your admissions portal is going to be your home base throughout your entire application process. So, it is very, very important that you monitor this portal on a regular basis just to make sure you are receiving all of our updates. Let's get started. After submitting your application, you'll receive an email with a unique link and password that will give you access to your admissions portal. Students are also able to use the direct link here to give them access to their admissions portal. At the top of the page, you will be able to find a direct link to your admissions portal, a link to any special program applications, as well as a link to frequently asked questions. You'll also be able to find application details such as your major, your preferred campus location, preferred application term, your residency status, and any decision outcomes you would like to be considered for. You can also use the update application details button to update any of this Please remember that we use email as our official method of communication. Make sure that you have your most up-to-date email on FAW. Also remember to add admissions fsu.edu to your address box. You will also be able to check the overall status of your application. This area lets you know the exact stage your application is currently in. The admissions portal is unique to each student. So keep in mind that your checklist may vary. Here you'll be able to see the materials that we have received or if we are awaiting any additional materials from you. If the checklist item has a red X, that means we have not received or processed that checklist item. If you have a green check mark, that means we have received and processed that checklist item. Most items take two to three business days to processed. Next, we have the self-reported transcript in academic record system, also known as STARS record, which is just a self-reported high school transcript. You may update your STARS record using the update your STARS record button that's located on your admissions portal. If you need help filling it out, you can read the frequently asked questions or watch the how-to video here. You may also visit the STARS website directly to update your STARS record. For this portion, you'll be able to check your test scores and see the official test scores that we have received as well as your self-reported test scores. Here is where you'll be able to upload any additional materials such as your first year essay as well as your first year resume. Towards the bottom, you'll be able to learn more about visitor services. This link will take you to where you can schedule a campus tour, sign up for informational sessions, and attend virtual events. Please be sure to also connect with us through our social media account. You can check us out on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and YouTube. Here we have your student self-service where you'll be able to update any information that you provided on your portal. Lastly, please be sure to verify your address here to make sure that we have the most accurate addresses on file for you. If you have any additional questions, please be sure to contact our office via phone at (850) 644-6200. You can also send us an email at admissions@fsu.edu and connect with us through our social media. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Good luck and go Noles.
