FSU requires all students to show proof of comparable health insurance coverage or to enroll in a university-sponsored health plan before registering for classes at orientation. Beginning Fall 2022, all eligible students will choose to either "OPT Out" of the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) with a comparable health insurance policy or purchase the SHIP.
