The Westcott Building is an icon of Florida State University. Built in 1910, it is currently home to various University administration offices, including the Office of the President. It also houses the University’s premiere performing arts venue, Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. Take a peek up in the Hall’s rafters and you’ll spy a giant owl sculpture, an homage to the University’s roots as the former "Florida State College" of the early 1900s.
