FSU Information Technology Services will send you an email containing your unique FSUID and email address. Go to my.fsu.edu, click Manage FSUID/Password, and follow the steps to complete the FSUID activation process. Complete Your Housing Contract
Complete your housing contract in the myHousing Portal at housing.fsu.edu. Students are not required to pay their admissions deposit before submitting a university housing contract. On-campus housing is not required but limited for first-year students at Florida State, so we encourage you to complete a contract as soon as possible.
The Fall 2024/Spring 2025 contract will open for admitted students on February 21, 2024. Students who complete the contract between February 21 and February 25 will be entered into a lottery and receive a randomized contract number on February 26. Contracts submitted on February 26 or later will receive a contract number based on the date and time the contract is submitted. The housing contract will close on May 1, 2024.
Summer B 2024 housing contract will open on March 7, 2024, and close on May 1, 2024.

Pay Your Admission Deposit
Pay your $200 non-refundable admission deposit as soon as you have decided to attend FSU but no later than June 1, 2024. The $200 admission deposit can be paid by logging in to your Application Status Check. For additional instructions, see our How to Pay a Deposit guide.
Register for Your Orientation Session
After activating your FSUID and paying your $200 non-refundable admissions deposit, you must register for orientation, which is a mandatory, multi-step process. Orientation registration opens on January 10, 2024, and you are encouraged to register as early as possible for a session. Students must register and pay for orientation no later than June 5, 2024. Submit Proof of Your Health Insurance
FSU requires all students to show proof of comparable health insurance coverage or to enroll in a university-sponsored health plan before registering for classes at orientation.

Complete Your FAFSA
If you want to be considered for financial aid, you must first submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To receive financial aid for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, you must complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA. If you are starting in the summer semester 2024, you will also need to submit the 2023-2024 FAFSA which will cover financial aid for the summer term only. Select a Meal Plan
You are not required to purchase a meal plan but with thirty different dining options on campus, you may find it convenient. Visit Seminole Dining at Seminole Dining for a comprehensive review of our dining options.
Choose Your Engage 100 Course
Every first-year student is required to enroll in an Engage 100 course in their first semester. Through Engage 100, you will connect with other new students and a peer mentor, dive into social and academic opportunities aligned with your goals, and explore all that university life offers. Before attending Orientation, visit the Engage 100 website to review the 30+ courses you can choose from. Students selected for CARE Summer Bridge and QUEST, the Honors Program, UROP, Living Learning Communities, and some academic programs will take a specific course that counts as their Engage 100 course.
Finalize and Review Your Conditions of Admission
- Florida Residency Declaration Form
If you claim Florida residency for tuition purposes, the Residency Declaration Form must be completed before attending orientation. You can access the Residency Declaration Form by logging in to your Application Status Check or on the Initial Classification website.
- Self-Reported Student Academic Record (SSAR)
Update your self-reported student academic record (SSAR) with your final senior year grades by logging in to your Application Status Check. Submit the updates by clicking the Complete button at the bottom of the Review/Submit section. If you do not re-lock your SSAR, FSU will not receive your updated information.
- Final High School, College Transcript(s), and Final Test Scores
Request your final and official high school transcript with your graduation date to be sent to FSU. If you took college-level courses (dual enrollment) while in high school, you must also request an official college transcript to be sent to FSU. Your high school is not responsible for sending to us your official college transcript. Request all official ACT, CLT and/or SAT test scores to be sent to FSU. All official transcripts and test scores must be received by July 10, 2024.
- July 10, 2024, is the deadline for you to have updated your SSAR with your senior grades and for your final and official test scores and transcript(s) including college transcript(s) to have been received in the office of admissions. We will verify that all the information you reported is correct. Discrepancies between self-reported and official test scores and/or transcripts may result in your offer of admission being rescinded. If you are ready to accept your place in the CARE Summer Bridge Program, submit your CARE Participation Agreement as soon as possible, but no later than May 1, 2024. Submit this form by logging in to your Application Status Check.
Register for Your Orientation Session
CARE Summer Bridge students all attend the same Orientation session. Orientation is mandatory and usually takes place one week before classes begin. Once CARE students complete the CARE Participation Agreement, they must register for Orientation. Orientation registration will open on January 10, 2024. CARE Summer Bridge students will only be able to register for the CARE Orientation. The Orientation fee is added to your bill but will be paid with your financial aid award; however, the guest fee for family member(s) will still be due. Complete Your FAFSA
Applying for Financial Aid as a summer admit requires you to submit a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) for both the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic year. You can complete the 2024-2025 FAFSA at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. CARE requires all FAFSAs to be complete by March 15, 2024. Failure to complete your FAFSAs will result in your admission being rescinded.
Note: The Office of Financial Aid may request additional documentation from you to verify your eligibility for funding. If additional documents are needed, you will receive an email or an additional item being added to your "To-Do List" at my.fsu.edu. Documents must be submitted by the requested deadline in order to maintain your admissions status.

Although a bill will appear on your account statement, the meal plan will be automatically paid closer to your move-in day. Choose Your Engage 100 Courses
Engage 100 is an immersive program unique to FSU and designed just for first-year students. Through Engage 100, you have the power to meet great people, explore your passions, and see all that university life offers. Every first-year student will enroll in an Engage 100 course this fall semester. All CARE Summer Bridge students will enroll in an Engage 100 course facilitated by a CARE TEAM (Transition, Engagement, and Academic Mentoring) Leader. You will select your experience during Orientation. Visit the Engage 100 website to review the 30+ courses you can choose from.
Complete FS4U Scholarship Search Registration
FS4U is Florida State's internal scholarship database which will allow you to search for scholarships or be automatically considered by departments for available funding. There are a number of scholarships that are awarded each year specifically to CARE students. To complete registration, go to fsu.academicworks.com.

If any of your senior-year grades are below a C or your cumulative college GPA is below a 2.0 (for those who took dual enrollment course college credits in high school), we may rescind your admission. Locate Your Off-Campus Housing
TSC and FSU are unable to offer you on-campus housing in fall. Spring on-campus housing is very limited and not guaranteed. Housing for fall fills up very quickly, so do not delay your search. Off-campus housing listings can be found at offcampushousing.fsu.edu.
Register for Your Orientation Session
Orientation registration will open in mid-fall, and you are encouraged to register early for a session which is a mandatory, multi-step process. To register in mid-fall for orientation, you must have already activated your FSUID. Visit nsfp.fsu.edu/new-nole-orientation/register-orientation for additional information.
Complete Your FAFSA
Applying for financial aid requires you to submit the 2024-2025 FAFSA available at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
Important Notes:
- Ensure that FSU (School Code 00148900) and TSC are both listed on your FAFSA application.
- Ensure that you have provided your accurate Social Security Number to the Office of Admissions.

The Office of Admissions requires an official, final high school transcript sent directly from your school to the University. If you have dual enrollment credit, you must also send an official college transcript(s). All official test scores (ACT, CLT and/or SAT) must be sent by the respective testing agency to FSU. The final high school transcript, dual enrollment transcript(s), and all official test scores must be received by July 10, 2024.
At the end of the Fall 2024 term, you must send an official, final college transcript to FSU Admissions to show you have met all admission conditions.
Review Your Conditions of Admission

- 15 Hour Requirement
You must enroll in a minimum 15 semester hours of college credit at Tallahassee State College in the fall. If you take courses in the summer at TSC, you must still take 15 semester hours during the fall. Our 15 hour fall requirement cannot be split between summer and fall. You should refer to the Academic Program Guide at academic-guide.fsu.edu for major requirements and recommended college courses. - GPA Requirement
You must earn a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) college grade point average in your fall classes with no grade below C. If you take classes in the summer, your college GPA for that term must also be 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) with no grade below C. If you take summer classes, you must have an official transcript sent to FSU Admissions before the start of fall term. - English Requirement
You must enroll in ENC 1101 (the first English composition class), unless you have earned comparable college credit for English composition through AICE, AP, IB, CLEP, and/or dual enrollment. Refer to Accelerated Credit for college credit awarded through acceleration. - Math Requirement
You must enroll in the required math for your major (MAC 1105, MGF 1130, or MGF 1131), unless you have earned comparable or higher-level college credit for math through AICE, AP, IB, CLEP, and/or dual enrollment. Refer to Accelerated Credit for college credit awarded through acceleration. Refer to the Academic Program Guide at academic-guide.fsu.edu for your major's math requirement.

You can access the Residency Declaration Form by logging in to your Application Status Check or on the Initial Classification website. - Self-Reported Student Academic Record (SSAR)
Update your self-reported student academic record (SSAR) with your final senior year grades by logging in to your Application Status Check. Submit the updates by clicking the Complete button at the bottom of the Review/Submit section. If you do not re-lock your SSAR, FSU will not receive your updated information. - Submit Final Transcripts and Official Test Scores
Request your final and official high school transcript with your graduation date to be sent to FSU. You must also request an official college transcript with your dual-enrollment coursework to be sent to FSU. Your high school is not responsible for sending to us your official college transcript. Request all official ACT, CLT and/or SAT test scores to be sent to FSU. All official transcripts and test scores must be received by July 10, 2024.
We will re-evaluate your application after we receive all your official transcripts. Discrepancies between official and self-reported grades and test scores can result in a cancellation of your acceptance. Your conditions of admission includes the following:
- You must earn an Associate in Arts degree from a Florida public college in addition to your high school diploma before starting classes at Florida State University. If any of your senior-year grades are below a C or your cumulative college GPA is less than 2.0, we may rescind your acceptance.
- Your application was reviewed for your intended major. You are expected to remain on track toward your desired major by completing the prerequisite courses and academic milestones specified in the Academic Program Guide.

Orientation
Orientation registration opens on January 10, 2024, and you are encouraged to register as early as possible for a session. Students admitted to summer and fall must register and pay for orientation no later than June 5, 2024.
Health & Wellness
FSU has both insurance and immunization requirements. Learn how to obtain or submit proof of insurance and submit your immunization records at studentinsurance.fsu.edu.
Dining
